Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup whole wheat flour
  2. 1 table spoon flax seed powder
  3. 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg /jaifal powder
  5. 1/4 tea spoon cinamon/dalchini powder
  6. 1/2 tea spoon baking powder
  7. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  8. Wet Ingredients
  9. 1/2 cup butter ( usual salted one)
  10. 1/2 cup grated or melted (room temperature) jaggery/gur
  11. 1/3cup sugar (powdered)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl collect all the dry ingredients and set aside
  2. In another bowl whisk all the wet ingredients till soft and fluffy
  3. Then add and mix dry Ingredients into the wet ingredients, small quantity at a time
  4. First use spatula to mix all then with hands make a soft dough
  5. Make small balls of the dough.Flatten them. Make a dent with the thumb
  6. Sprinkle and spread some icing sugar on the top of all the cookies
  7. Spread baking sheet on the baking tray and place cookies, keeping 1-inch distance between cookies.
  8. Bake at 170 degrees for about 15 minutes in a preheated oven.
  9. Let it cool for ten minutes and enjoy with a cup of tea or milk .
