This dish can be made for breakfast or as an evening meal for children with the leftover puttu. This s a good option for those who do not like puttu.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Cooked puttu 2cups
  2. onion 1 big
  3. Carrot 1/2 cup,chopped
  4. Cabbage 1 cup
  5. Spinach red or green 1 cup,chopped
  6. Garlic paste 1/2 tsp
  7. Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  8. turmeric a pinch
  9. Salt
  10. oil


  1. In a pan put 3 tbsp oil, add garlic paste, fry well.
  2. Then put onion, after frying a bit, add all - carrots & cabbage along with salt, chilli powder & turmeric. Cook till done.
  3. Then add spinach. sprinkle some water, whenever needed. When everything is cooked, add puttu. Mix well. Keep on sprinkling water . puttu will be softer. Cover and cook for 2-3 min.
  4. Serve hot.
