Amla Ki Lounji

Ingredients to make Amla Ki Lounji

  • amla- 1/2 kg
  • kalonji-1/2 tsp
  • jeera-1/2 tsp
  • haldi powder-1/2 tsp
  • dhania powder-1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Sauf powder-1 tsp
  • salt as per your taste
  • jaggery(gud) grated-2 tsp
  • mustard oil-1 tsp

How to make Amla Ki Lounji

  1. Wash amlas in running water.
  2. Boil water in a pan.
  3. Add Amlas and do not cover the pan.
  4. Or else cook Amlas in a microwave without water.
  5. Boil for nearly 10minutes or check them...they should not be very soft.
  6. Now take out amlas.
  7. Take out seeds and cut amlas into 3-4 pieces.
  8. Take another pan..keep on flame
  9. Add mustard oil.
  10. Now add kalonji and jeera.
  11. Let jeera crackle. Add amlas
  12. Add all masalas and salt as per taste
  13. Mix them properly
  14. Add jaggery
  15. Mix them properly.
  16. Sweet ,salty, spicy amla launjj is ready.

My Tip:

You can add chopped garlic also. You may use sugar in place of jaggery
