Tomato Pickle

Ingredients to make Tomato Pickle

  • 4 big country tomatoes pureed
  • 2 tbsp of red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp of methi and 1 tsp of jeera roasted and ground
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp asfoetida
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup Sesame oil
  • 1 tsp of each mustard seeds and udad dal
  • curry leaves few

How to make Tomato Pickle

  1. Take kadai add oil,and add mustard and used dal, asfoetida curry leaves, when ready add tomato puree
  2. Add,turmeric,red chilli powder and salt
  3. Keep in low flame and stir,till oil comes top,add jeera and methi powder and let it cool
  4. Store in an air tight jar and keep in a refrigerator. Stays good for a fortnight
