ABOUT Sugarcane and Jaggery Kheer with Icecream RECIPE

I made this kheer with sugarcane juice and jaggery. This is a very traditional recipe of winters. This is served in many ways. One is made with sugarcan juice and rice and serve chilled with curd/lemon and the other one is mixed with milk/cream/rabdi and chilled . Both the ways it is delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 glass sugarcane juice
  2. 2 tbs jaggery
  3. Pinch of salt
  4. 1/2 bowl small sticky rice
  5. One spoon lemon juice
  6. Lemon/milk/cream/curd/ice cream as per taste

Instructions

  1. Wash rice.
  2. Heat pan and add sugarcane juice, boil for sometime and add lemon juice. The impurity will come on the surface. remove. add rice.
  3. Stir constantly, after ten mins add jaggery and cook until it gets a kheer like consistency
  4. Serve hot or chilled
  5. Serve with lemon/whipped cream/Milk/Rabdi/curd/ ice cream as per your taste.
  6. I serve this with vanilla ice cream.
