Ingredients to make jaggery(nai) appam with icecream

  • 100 gm rice
  • 75 gm jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  • 2 tsp desicated coconut

How to make jaggery(nai) appam with icecream

  1. Wash and soak the rice for a few hours. Drain and grind to a paste. Mix jaggery and grind once again till smooth and thick.
  2. Pour enough milk to form a thick batter. Now mix cardamom and coconut and and cook in appam pot or drop teaspoonful of batter into hot ghee.
  3. Deep fry to a golden brown colour.
