Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Poatato-800gm
  2. oil to fry
  3. Ghee-50gm
  4. Whole garam masala-10gm
  5. Fennel-5gm
  6. Ajwain-5gm
  7. Cumin-10gm
  8. Mustard seeds-5gm
  9. Fenugreek seeds-3gm
  10. Black peppercorn-5gm
  11. Hing- a pinch
  12. Coriander powder-10gm
  13. Turmeric powder- 1teaspoon
  14. Red chilli powder- 1 teaspoon
  15. Ginger paste -1tablespoon
  16. Tamarind pulp-100gm
  17. Sugar-1 tablespoon
  18. Coriander 10gm
  19. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel potato.
  2. Heat oil in kadai and deep fry over medium heat until half cooked.and light brown in colour.
  3. Heat ghee in kadai add whole garam masala ,fennel ,ajwain,mustard seeds,fenugreek,hing and black peppercorn .saute for a minute,add ginger paste and stirr for a minute
  4. Now add coriander powder ,turmeric,red chilli powder,salt and 2 cups water.and boil for 5 minutes.
  5. Now add fried potato ,saute for a minute now add tamarind pulp and sugar ,bring it to boil .
  6. Simmer the gas until the potatoes cooked and the gravy became thick.
  7. Serve in a bowl garnish with chopped coriander.
