ABOUT Egg Kabab or Dinosaur Eggs RECIPE

Egg kabab or Dinosaur eggs are egg stuffed potato croquettes.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the potato covering
  2. 3 Large Potatoes, cooked and mashed
  3. 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
  4. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  6. 1 tsp chilli powder
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  8. Salt as required
  9. For Egg roast
  10. 3 Large Eggs, hard boiled and peeled
  11. 1/8 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  13. 1/8 tsp salt
  14. 2 large eggs for egg wash
  15. For bread coating
  16. 4-5 slices bread Or rusk powder 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Heat oil. Fry chopped onions until brown. Mix in mashed potatoes. Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, chilli powder and cumin powder. Mix well and fry for a min. Let it cool down.
  2. Slit boiled eggs into two and roast them. Add salt, turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  3. Prepare the egg wash. Beat 2 eggs in a shallow bowl.
  4. Take 4 to 5 bread slices and give it a pulse in blender. Take it on a plate.
  5. Take a handful of potato mixture, flatten it and place egg in centre. Cover it gently to an egg shape.
  6. Dip in egg and roll it in bread crumbs. Deep fry them in hot oil. Keep rolling until golden brown on all sides.
