ABOUT Cabbage Bhajiya Rolls RECIPE

The steamed cabbage roll is given a new look by frying into bhajiya rolls . Coated with besan and stuffed with filling of your choice this will taste wow for any occasion. Serve them with green mint chutney and tomato ketchup.Try them. Fry them.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 kg fresh cabbage
  2. 2-3 medium potatoes
  3. 1 cup sweet corn kernels
  4. 1 cup chopped spinach
  5. 50 grams cottage cheese
  6. 1 cube Amul cheese
  7. 1 tsp paprika or chilli powder
  8. 1 tsp chaat masala
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. Remove each cabbage leaf carefully, wash well and keep aside.
  2. Blanch these by putting in hot water and then in cold water.
  3. Boil potatoes, cool, peel and mash.
  4. Add corn, chopped spinach, spices and salt to mashed potatoes and mix well.
  5. Mix well and add grated cheese and crumbled cottage cheese too.
  6. Make cabbage rolls by placing the cheese mix in each leaf and fold it tightly. You can tie with soft thread too for safety.
  7. Mix besan for a batter for bhajiya/pakode and dip the cabbage rolls in batter.
  8. Heat oil for deep frying and fry each roll golden.
  9. Remove and serve hot with fresh green mint chutney and tomato ketchup.
  10. Make sure you cut the thread and remove it.
