Ingredients to make Sukha bhuna murg

  • onions chopped 4-5
  • green chillies as required
  • ginger 1 inch
  • garlic 6-7 pods
  • turmeric powder 1 tspn
  • red chilly powder 2 tspn
  • dhania powder 3 tspn
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • tomatoes 1 or 2
  • For akkha garam masala
  • dalchini 1 inch
  • Green elaichi 4-5
  • Brown elaichi 2
  • Phool chakri 1
  • javitri 1
  • Laung 4-5
  • Kaali mirch 8-9
  • Zeera 1 tspn
  • Shah zeera 1 tspn
  • Tez patta 1-2

How to make Sukha bhuna murg

  1. Heat oil in a wok add akkha garam masala. Let it pop then add chopped onions.
  2. Till then, in a separate wok, add lil akkha garam masala ( Take little from the mentioned garam masala. Do not take separately for it) Now add chicken, little of the chopped onions, turmeric powder, salt and about 2 tblspn oil.
  3. Roast it till golden brown. Then add green chilly and ginger garlic paste. The paste must not be smooth. Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, dhania powder and garam masala powder.
  4. Roast the masala on slow flame till the aroma is released till it leaves oil from sides.
  5. Till then your chicken will be done in a separate wok. Add it to the masala and mix well.
  6. Add tomatoes, as the tomatoes are done switch off the flame... Ad chopped coriander.
  7. Serve hot with tandoori rotis.

My Tip:

Take akkha garam masala for both roasting masala and chicken from the same mentioned amount of akkha garam masala. Do not take separately for both.
