Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Jackfruit (cut into 1 inch pieces ) 500 gram
  2. Mustard oil 1½cup
  3. Onion chopped 2
  4. Ginger Garlic paste 2 tablespoon
  5. Dry red chilli 3
  6. Bay leaf 2
  7. Cardamom 3-4
  8. Clove 2-3
  9. Cinnamon 1 inch
  10. Turmeric powder 1½ teaspoon
  11. Red chilli powder 2 teaspoon
  12. Cumin powder 2 teaspoon
  13. Coriander powder 2 teaspoon
  14. Meat masala powder 2 teaspoon
  15. Garam masala powder ½ teaspoon
  16. Salt to taste


  1. Heat 1 cup oil and fry the jackfruit pieces over high flame, till become light brown keep aside.
  2. Take a pressure cooker add remaining oil heat the oil add whole spices and saute for few seconds.
  3. Add onion stir fry till golden brown.
  4. In a small bowl add turmeric, red chilli powder , cumin powder, coriander powder, meat masala powder and salt mix well with ½cup of water.
  5. Add masala mix into the cooker and fry till oil separated.
  6. Add jakfruit pieces mix well saute for 5-6 minutes.
  7. Add ½ cup of water, close the lid and cook the jackfruit for 2 whistle.
  8. Remove lid add garam masala and dry out excess water on high flame.

I have tried n it was awesome... Forget to use ginger garlic paste as it was not mentioned in the method but next time sure I will use it.
