Bhuna Murg is the make over of Bhuna chicken curry and considered as a lighter version

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken, legs and breast pieces 1/2 kg
  2. Dry Red chilles 6-7 nos
  3. Cardamom 3-4
  4. cloves 5-6
  5. Cinnamon 2-3
  6. garlic Few cloves
  7. Yogurt 1/2 cup
  8. Mustard oil for cooking
  9. Salt As per as taste


  1. First soak some red chilles in water. Boil and keep aside. To the red chilles add Garam masala, garlic and make a fine paste. Remove all the masala in a bowl.
  2. Now add 1/2 cup of yogurt in the masala and mix well. Put the chicken pieces in the yogurt masala and mix well. Add salt and mix it again.
  3. Marinate this masala with chicken overnight / minimum 2 - 3 hrs in refrigerator.
  4. In another pan heat some Mustard oil and add chicken pieces only the chicken pieces and cook in low flame till the masala is almost dry, Then add left over marinade masala and mix it well.
  5. Now cover the chicken with lid till the chicken is cooked and the Bhuna masala gets completely dries up
  6. Serve hot with Masala Khulcha / Nun / Lachcha Partha
