Ingredients to make Sarso ka saag

  • Boiled sarso saag made into a puree 1 big bowl
  • onions finely chopped 2
  • tomatoes 3 pureed
  • Green chilli 1-2 as per your taste
  • garlic chopped 7-8 cloves
  • ginger 1 inch
  • Dry masala
  • hing 1/2 tsp
  • ghee for tadka
  • salt to taste
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Sukha atta 2 to 3 tbsp

How to make Sarso ka saag

  1. Add ghee in kadhai and put hing. Saute for a while. Add garlic and saute until light brown. Saute ginger. Saute onions until light pink. Add chopped green chillies and tomato puree. Saute it until ghee leaves side.
  2. Now add all dry spices and saag puree. Mix it well with 2-3 tblspn of sukha atta. Now garnish with ghee or butter and green chilli.

My Tip:

Suppose you take 1 kg sarso, 1/2 kg palak and 100 gm of bathua. Wash it properly and add 1 tsp ginger, 2-3 green chillies and salt. Boil it for one hour. Grind it.
