Chicken gravy

Ingredients to make Chicken gravy

  • chicken 1/2 kg
  • onion paste 2 big
  • onion chopped 1 big
  • tomato paste 2 medium
  • ginger paste 3tbsp
  • garlic paste 2tbsp
  • Green chilli slit 4
  • Kashmiri mirchi pd 2tbsp
  • haldi 1tbsp
  • cumin pd 1tbsp
  • coriander pd 1tbsp
  • Garam masala pd 1tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil
  • sugar 1tsp
  • bay leaf 1
  • Cardamon 4
  • cloves 4
  • cinnamon 1stick
  • potato 4
  • water

How to make Chicken gravy

  1. Peel potato & cut into half. Add little haldi, salt and fry it. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in pressure cooker. Add sugar. When color changes to caramel red, add whole garam masala. Aroma will start coming.
  3. Add chopped onions. Saute. When it becomes golden brown, add onion paste. Saute.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute.
  5. When done, add green chillies, cumin pd, coriander pd, Kashmiri mirchi pd, haldi. Fry it.
  6. Now add tomato paste. Saute till oil starts leaving the sides.
  7. Add chicken and salt. Saute till chicken is cooked .
  8. Add garam masala pd.
  9. Add fried potatoes.
  10. Add water. Close the lid of pressure cooker. Wait for 7-8 whistles.
  11. Serve hot.
