Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken 1/2 kg
  2. Onion paste 2 big
  3. Onion chopped 1 big
  4. Tomato paste 2 medium
  5. Ginger paste 3tbsp
  6. Garlic paste 2tbsp
  7. Green chilli slit 4
  8. Kashmiri mirchi pd 2tbsp
  9. Haldi 1tbsp
  10. Cumin pd 1tbsp
  11. Coriander pd 1tbsp
  12. Garam masala pd 1tbsp
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil
  15. Sugar 1tsp
  16. Bay leaf 1
  17. Cardamon 4
  18. Cloves 4
  19. Cinnamon 1stick
  20. Potato 4
  21. Water

Instructions

  1. Peel potato & cut into half. Add little haldi, salt and fry it. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in pressure cooker. Add sugar. When color changes to caramel red, add whole garam masala. Aroma will start coming.
  3. Add chopped onions. Saute. When it becomes golden brown, add onion paste. Saute.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste. Saute.
  5. When done, add green chillies, cumin pd, coriander pd, Kashmiri mirchi pd, haldi. Fry it.
  6. Now add tomato paste. Saute till oil starts leaving the sides.
  7. Add chicken and salt. Saute till chicken is cooked .
  8. Add garam masala pd.
  9. Add fried potatoes.
  10. Add water. Close the lid of pressure cooker. Wait for 7-8 whistles.
  11. Serve hot.
