ABOUT Khasta Namak Paarey RECIPE

Extremely popular snack that is an all time favourite. It is best served with a hot coffee or tea on those rainy evenings or as a weekend late evening munchie.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 2 cups
  2. Salt a tsp
  3. Carrom seeds or ajwain a tbsp
  4. cumin seeds 1 tbsp
  5. oil 2 tbsp
  6. Milk 1/4 th cup + water 1/4 th cup or as needed to make a smooth dough

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough out of all the ingredients.
  2. Cover and keep aside until the oil gets heated.
  3. Divide the dough into 3 parts and roll each part into a semi thick roti, not too thin nor too thick. Cut them into diamond shapes or square whichever you prefer.
  4. Deep fry them on low to medium flame only.
  5. Allow them to cool down a bit before you serve them. As they cool down, they become crunchier and crispier.
