Ingredients to make Kasoori Methi/Ajwain Namak Paare

  • all purpose flour 1 cup
  • Whole wheat flour1 cup
  • semolina 2 to 3 tbsp
  • Carrom seeds 1 tbsp
  • Kasoori methi 2 tbsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil 1 tbsp + additional for frying.

How to make Kasoori Methi/Ajwain Namak Paare

  1. Mix all and make a stiff dough using water as needed.
  2. Rest it covered for at least 15 mins.
  3. Divide the dough into as many balls as you wish, preferably 3 are recommended.
  4. Roll it into a thin roti as big as possible. Cut thin diamond shaped strips and deep fry on medium flame until golden.

My Tip:

Roll it thin and fry them in batches. Do not over crowd. Fry on medium flame only. Oil should be hot. Let them cool before serving. They will be soft when they are hot.
