ABOUT Pan Fish Fry(Tawa fish fry) RECIPE

Fish fry is simply the best as a side dish or even as a starter. You can also use small fish fillet and deep fry or shallow fry to make a finger food which is a great choice for party. Pan fried Fish fry consumes minimal oil but still has a crunchy crust and tastes delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fish 500gms
  2. Oil for shallow frying
  3. ingredients for marination -
  4. Ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
  5. Pepper Powder 1tsp
  6. Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  7. Cumin powder 1tbsp
  8. Coriander powder 1tbsp
  9. Salt
  10. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Lemon juice 2 tbsp
  12. Finely chopped coriander leaves
  13. Finely chopped curry leaves
  14. Oil 4tsp
  15. Rice flour 1tbsp
  16. Dry rub powder -
  17. Sooji 1/2 cup
  18. Rice flour 4 tbsp
  19. Chilli powder 1tsp
  20. Salt

Instructions

  1. Clean the fish steaks and dry them thoroughly on a paper towel. Set aside.
  2. Take bowl add all above mentioned marination ingredients and mix well.Apply the paste on both sides of the fish. Set it aside for 30 minutes for marination.
  3. In the mean time take plate and add all above mentioned dry rub powder ingredients mix well and check the seasoning.
  4. Take the marinated fish and dust it in the dry rub powder to evenly coat.
  5. Heat oil in a pan until very hot. Shallow fry the fish until it cook on each side in hot oil.Drain the fried fish on a paper towel and serve hot.
