Ingredients to make Fresh Fruits Gateux

  • For Vanilla sponge Cake -
  • Refined flour 100gm
  • sugar 100 gm
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • eggs 4
  • Vanilla extract 1 tbsp
  • Fresh Fruits on top & filling -
  • Fresh cream 250 gm
  • sugar water 50 ml
  • apple 1
  • Kiwi 1
  • Strawberry 5 to 6
  • Musk melon 1 small
  • papaya 1 small
  • Black grapes 10 to 12
  • Cherry 3 to 4

How to make Fresh Fruits Gateux

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degree C
  2. Grease 8" cake tine and line with baking paper
  3. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla till fluffy
  4. Sift the flour then add gradually to egg mixture and mix to get a smooth mixture
  5. Pour in the prepared cake tin and bake for 180 degrees C for 15 min
  6. Bake till a skewer inserted in the center clean come out clean. Then remove from the oven & allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes then transfer to a cooling rack. Allow to cool completely before layering & finishing the cake
  7. Cut the cake into three parts. Spread cream , chopped fruit apple, strawberry spread in two layers.
  8. Finish with fresh cream decorate the top part with fruit pieces .
  9. serve

My Tip:

Use fresh fruits for this recipe. When using kiwi and pineapple, remove the middle part of the fruits.
