Makhan Mushroom

Ingredients to make Makhan Mushroom

  • matar (green peas)- 100 grams
  • mushroom - 200 grams boiled in in hot water with a pinch of salt for 5 to 7 minutes and drained
  • onions - 3 medium sized(2 ground to a paste and 1 sliced)
  • Tomato paste from - 3 to 4 tomatoes
  • garlic- 1 pod
  • ginger - 1 tsp(Grated)
  • Refined vegetable oil - 2 tbsp
  • tej patta- 1 leaf
  • cumin seeds - 1 1/2 tsp
  • Red dry chili-2 to 3
  • salt as per taste
  • coriander powder-2 tsp
  • mango powder- 2 tsp
  • turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder - 2 tsp (as per your taste)
  • sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Milk - 1/2 cup(small one)
  • makhan (yellow butter) - 2 tbsp

How to make Makhan Mushroom

  1. Take a pan add Oil in it let it heat up.Add cumin seeds,tej patta,dry red chilies and ginger garlic in it.Now stir it for few minutes.Now add onion paste in the oil and stir it till it changes its color.(keep the sliced onion on a side)After that add tomato paste and add salt,sugar,coriander powder,mango powder,turmeric powder,salt and Red chili powder in it.Mix it well till the masala starts turning golden in color and starts leaving the oil.
  2. After that add peas in it.Roast it well with masala.
  3. Add half cup of water in it.Stir it till the gravy becomes little thick.
  4. Now add some milk in the gravy. Wait for a nice boil.
  5. When the gravy is cooked , add the mushrooms in it.
  6. Now take another small wok add 1 tsp oil and add diced onion in it and some more cumin seedsWhen the onion starts changing the color add it to the gravy like extra tadka.
  7. Lastly, add butter in the gravy and stir it and cook for 5 to 7 minutes
  8. Serve hot with roti or rice
