Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Banana stem 15 inch piece
  2. Jaggery powder 200gms
  3. Grated coconut 4 tablespoon
  4. Raw rice powder 2 tablespoon
  5. Elaichi powder 1teaspoon
  6. Ghee 4 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Finely chop banana stem
  2. Heat a pan add 1 table spoon ghee and add banana stem and saute for 2 minutes
  3. Let it cook with lid on it (don't add water)
  4. In another bowl add less than 1/4 cup water and add Jaggery and let it boil. Strain it.
  5. Add Jaggery syrup to the cooked banana stem
  6. Let it dry by stirring it oftenly. Cook it in low flame
  7. Add coconut and rice flour stir well
  8. Add elaichi powder and ghee
  9. Stir it continuously till it separates from the sides of the pan
  10. Transfer it in a greased plate and let it cool and cut it in cubes and enjoy the delicious halwa
