Dessert with layers of carrot cream custard, sponge cake and nuts

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. carrot custard -
  2. 1 cup milk
  3. 1 tbsp vanilla custard powder
  4. 1 medium carrot grated
  5. 2 tbsp Sugar
  6. 1 tbsp dry roasted nuts (cashew, almond, pistachio)
  7. For assembling -
  8. 2 tbsp whipped cream
  9. 4 slice vanilla sponge cake
  10. Sugar syrup for soaking
  11. nuts (cashew, almond, pistachio) roughly crushed


  1. to prepare custard
  2. take a pan. add milk, custard powder, sugar, carrot together and turn the gas on. cook until thick.
  3. add nuts and keep aside. when it reaches room temperature keep in the fridge for 10 mins. then add whipped cream and fold with custard mixture.
  4. take shot glass. put a slice of vanilla sponge cake
  5. Soak with sugar syrup and spread the prepared custard and sprinkle nuts.
  6. Repeat the layer in the same way. Finally, top with custard and then nuts.
  7. Put in fridge for 1 hour and serve
