Khajur/nolen gur or date palm jaggery oats dry fruits cookies is a delicious and healthy treat for kids . Taste of dry fruits and aroma of date palm jaggery or khajur gur makes the cookies heavenly.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Wholewheat flour or atta 1 cup
  2. Oats powder 1/2 cup
  3. Butter 1/2 cup
  4. Grated jaggery or gur 1/3 cup
  5. Powdered sugar 1 tablespoon
  6. Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
  8. cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon
  9. Raisins 1 tablespoon chopped
  10. Cashew nuts 3 tablespoon broken or chopped in small pieces
  11. Almond 2 tablespoon chopped in small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C
  2. Grease a baking tray or line with parchment paper.
  3. Sift flour, oats powder, baking powder, soda and cardamom powder.
  4. Mix butter, grated jaggery and powdered sugar in a large bowl. Beat well.
  5. Add dry ingredients and chopped dry fruits.
  6. Make a semi stiff dough.
  7. Roll it with a rolling pin into 1/4 inch thick sheet.
  8. Cut with a cookie cutter.
  9. Bake in preheated oven 180° for 7 - 8 minutes or until the edges becomes light brown.
  10. Turn upside down and bake for 2 - 3 minutes more if you want both sides brown.
  11. Let the cookies cool down completely before serving.

Do we use oats or whole wheat flour? Ingredients has whole wheat flour and the heading is oats cookies
