Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Potatoes big 4 nos
  2. Onion chopped 3nos
  3. Tomatoes chopped 1nos
  4. Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
  5. Cumin seeds 1/2tsp
  6. Urad dal 1pinch
  7. Chana dal 1pinch
  8. Moong dal 1pinch
  9. Green chillies 3nos
  10. Turmeric powder 1pinch
  11. Hing 1pinch
  12. Curry leaves 1 strand
  13. Coriander leaves chopped 1tbsp
  14. Salt to taste
  15. Water as required

Instructions

  1. First of all take a pressure cooker and cook potatoes in it for 4 to 5 whistles.
  2. Remove the skin of the potatoes and mash it well and keep aside.
  3. Now take a kadai and heat it and add oil to it .
  4. Now add mustard seeds and allow it to splutter.
  5. Now add all the dals,cumin seeds and hing and saute well.
  6. Next add curry leaves and let it splutter.
  7. Now add green chillies and onions and mix well till onion becomes nice brown in colour .
  8. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute well .
  9. Now add tomatoes and turmeric powder and mix well .
  10. Now add mashed potatoes and salt to it and mix well.
  11. Add water if required.
  12. Serve in bowl with hot pooris or dosa.
