Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. for cooking Rice
  2. 3/2 cup soak rice (30 minutes)
  3. salt as required
  4. 1 tsp ghee
  5. 1 tsp lemon juice
  6. water as required
  7. 1 tbsp coriander
  8. 1 tsp mint leaves
  9. for chana dal cooking
  10. 1/4 cup soak chana dal (1 hour)
  11. 1 cup water (as required)
  12. salt as required
  13. 1 tsp ghee
  14. 1 tsp turmeric
  15. for making alu Chana dal mix
  16. 3 tbsp ghee
  17. 1 piece dry red chilies
  18. 1 onion sliced
  19. 1 boiled potatoes
  20. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  21. 1 green chilies
  22. 1 tsp turmeric
  23. 1 tsp Rajwadi garam masala
  24. 1 tbsp water
  25. salt as required
  26. 3 tbsp curd
  27. 1 tbsp cream
  28. 3 tbsp fresh coriander
  29. 1/4 cup boiled chana dal

Instructions

  1. Put a pan add soak basmati biryani rice, salt, water ,ghee and lemon juice mix well and cover the pan and cook about 90%,after 10 minutes add fresh coriander and mint leaves mix well
  2. In pressure cooker soak chana dal, water,salt,ghee and turmeric and mix well and cook for 2 whistle
  3. In a heat pan add ghee, whole red chilies and sliced onion and cook them till light brown colours, add some boiled potatoes cubes stir about brown, add ginger- garlic paste and sauté for few minutes add green chilies, turmeric, rajwadi garam masala, some water and salt and cook for few minutes ,add yogurt and some cream and cook fast flame stir it after few minutes add cooked chana dal and stir it,add fresh coriander and flame off
  4. Take big bowl and set aluminium foil
  5. first layer of rice
  6. second layer of chana dal mix
  7. third layer of rice
  8. sprinkle fresh coriander and fresh green chilies
  9. add kesar and milk mixture and put into oven
  10. Preheated ovens at 180 degrees for 20 minutes
