ABOUT Homemade Wheat Pasta in Tomato gravy. RECIPE

A Treat For Eyes and Your Tastebuds. Due to Bird flu Chicken, Eggs are banned in Gujarat. So I have not added Chicken in this recipe. But you can add Boiled Chicken to add Protein which is necessary while dieting. A moderate amount of Cheese is good to get Calcium. It's also good for hair and Skin.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For Pasta.
  2. Wheat flour 2 cups
  3. Oil 1 tsp
  4. Water to need flour.
  5. Oil to add in water while boiling Pasta.
  6. For Tomato Gravy.
  7. Tomato 500 grams
  8. Onion 2 ( big)
  9. Garlic 5 to 6 cloves
  10. Ginger grated 1 tbsp
  11. Sugar 2 tsp
  12. Green chillies 2
  13. Pepper powder 1 tsp
  14. Homemade paneer of 500 grams milk.
  15. Cheese slice 1
  16. Cheese cube 1
  17. Carrot 2 sliced.
  18. Spinach leaves finely chopped 2 tbsp
  19. Oil 1 tsp
  20. Oil to grease baking pan.
  21. Parseley 2 tsp
  22. Chilli flakes ( optional ) to taste.
  23. Chilli garlic sauce while serving. ( optional according to taste ).


  1. Knead wheat flour by adding oil and water. Keep aside.
  2. Heat water in a broad vessel, add a tsp of oil .
  3. This will prevent pasta from sticking. Now roll Roties and cut stripes .
  4. Add this stripes to the boiling water
  5. Remove from hot water in a stainless steel strainer and cool under running water. Make all pasta.
  6. For making tomato gravy.
  7. Heat oil( 1 tsp) in a pan. Add chopped Onions (2) , saute and add chopped tomatoes.
  8. Saute for 2 minutes, add ginger garlic, chilli, salt. Let it cook for 2 minutes. Let it cool
  9. Blend tomato mix to puree. Boil in same pan to make gravy. Add sugar. Add a slice of cheese. Turn off the gas.
  10. Saute onion and chopped carrot for 2 minutes. Add grated paneer, pepper and salt to taste and onion carrot mix in tomato gravy.
  11. Assembling.
  12. Grease a baking tray. Fold in pasta to it. Pour Tomato gravy on it. Garnish with one grated cheese cube and Parseley and 1 tbsp Amul Fresh creme ( optional ).
  13. Bake for 10 minutes in a preheated oven at 220 c.
  14. Enjoy with chilli garlic sauce and chilli flakes ( optional according to the taste ).
