Muesli and Chia Seeds Porridge

ABOUT Muesli and Chia Seeds Porridge RECIPE

Muesli is the best known cereal out there . Start your day with this fiber rich bowl and you are ready for the day . For a little twist , I decided to add in some chia seeds along with the fruits that I toss in .

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. FOR THE MUESLI :-
  2. 4 cups oats
  3. 1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
  4. 1 1/2 cups coconut flakes ; unsweetened
  5. 1 tsp Salt
  6. 1/2 tsp Cinnamon powder
  7. 2 tbsp Coconut oil
  8. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  9. FOR THE PORRIDGE :-
  10. 3/4th cup soaked chia seeds
  11. 1/2 a litre milk
  12. 1 cup muesli
  13. 1 large banana
  14. A handful of strawberries
  15. 2 tbsp honey (optional)
  16. 3 tbsp raisins
  17. 1 cup of mixed nuts (pistachios , almonds , walnuts , cashew nuts )

Instructions

  1. FOR THE MUESLI :-
  2. Preheat your oven to 180°.
  3. Mix together the oats , coconut flakes , coconut oil , cinnamon powder , salt , vanilla extract and almonds .
  4. On a baking tray lined with parchment paper , spread this mixture out and bake it for about 10 mins .
  5. In between the process , toss the mixture around just to prevent excessive baking.
  6. Once done , let it cool completely.
  7. This particular recipe approximately gives you 8 servings.
  8. FOR THE PORRIDGE :-
  9. Bring the milk to a boil.
  10. Arrange the bottom part of the jar with muesli and pour the milk till it's all soaked.
  11. Spread out some chia seeds above this .
  12. On the next layer , spread out the oats .
  13. Again , add in a layer of chia seeds .
  14. Lastly , top it off with honey and fruits followed by mixed nuts .
  15. Enjoy it as it is or you can even eat it chilled .
