Drumstick & Moong Dal Bhaji

Ingredients to make Drumstick & Moong Dal Bhaji

  • Drumstick leaves 2cups
  • mustard seeds & Cumin seeds 1/4th tspn each
  • onion 2
  • garlic pod 6
  • red chilly 1 to 2
  • moong dal 1/2cup
  • turmeric powder 1/4th tspn
  • chilly powder 1/2 tspn
  • salt according to taste.

How to make Drumstick & Moong Dal Bhaji

  1. Soak moong dal for 1 hour. Add 1cup water and cook on medium to low flame for 10minutes. Set aside.
  2. In a heavy non stick vessel heat a few tspns of oil. Add mustard and cumin seeds, once it crackles add red chilly, finely chopped garlic and onions slices. Fry till translucent. To this add drumstick leaves and saut for two minutes.
  3. Add cooked moong dal. If moong dal is bit watery add the water too. Mix well. Add chilly powder, turmeric powder and salt. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Serve hot with roti or rice.

My Tip:

Spices can be adjusted according to ones preference.
