Cheezy Mixed Dal Chilla

Ingredients to make Cheezy Mixed Dal Chilla

  • 1/4 Cup chana dal
  • 1/4 cup white udat dal
  • 1/4 cup arhar dal
  • 1 chopped onion
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp fruit salt (plain blue eno sachet)
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1/2 finely chopped corainder leaves
  • 1 tsp of chilly flakes

How to make Cheezy Mixed Dal Chilla

  1. Mix all three dals and soak for an hour. Now grind these dals in a mixer grinder, using little water to a very smooth paste
  2. Remove in a vessel, add salt and chopped onion. Add little water to adjust the consistency. It should neither be too thick nor runny.
  3. Meantime heat a non stick dosa tawa
  4. Now add eno to the dal mixture. The mixture will suddenly rise and have a smooth consistency
  5. Take a ladle full of mixture and spread on the tawa like a dosa. Sprinkle some oil on top add chilly flakes and corainder leaves by randomly on top.
  6. Now turn the side and allow to cook. Again turn the side with chilly flakes and corainder leaved side up, Spread cheese on one side of the chilla longthe length and fold the other side on top of rhe chilla. Now cook this folded chilla on both sides for some secs if required add little oil. This cooking is required so the cheese inside melts.
  7. Remove this in a plate and cut it into half with help of pizza cutter. SERVE With green chutney and tomato sauce. Can also be packed in tiffin but more relished when hot.
