Garlicky methi dhokli

Ingredients to make Garlicky methi dhokli

  • 2 tsp finely chopped garlic(lehsun)
  • 3/4cup finely chopped fenugreek (methi) leaves
  • 1 cup besan (bengali gram flour)
  • 1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp coriander(dhaniya)powder
  • A pinch of asafoetida (hing)
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp oil for greasing

How to make Garlicky methi dhokli

  1. Combine all the ingredients along with 1/2 cup of water in a deep bowl and mix well till no lumps remain.
  2. Grease a 175 mm (7") diameter thali using 1/2 tsp of oil, pour half the batter into it and steam in a steamer for 8 minutes.
  3. Repeat step 2 to make 1 more thali.
  4. Cut into diamond shape pieces and serve immediately.
