Ingredients to make Dal panner

  • 1 and half cup dal (Gram pluses)
  • 100 gm panner small chopped
  • 2 large onions (greated)
  • 2 large tamotoes (greated)
  • Half spoon ginger garlic chilli paste
  • Half cup milk
  • oil /ghee
  • 1/4 gram masala
  • Half spoon coriander powder
  • Half spoon turmeric powder
  • Half spoon red chilli powder
  • Half spoon kasuri methi
  • 2 spoon cream
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • 1 cloves
  • 1 taj leaves
  • salt to taste
  • Half spoon cumin seed
  • coriander leaves garnish

How to make Dal panner

  1. Start by soaking the dal into hot water for 20 to 30 mins.In a kadai take some amount of oil.Let it heat.After heating put cinnamon, cloves, taj leaves,cumin seeds after few second add onions.
  2. Let the onions colour change to golden brown and onions will leave the oil know put ginger garlic chilli paste and saute it for few mins.
  3. After this all the spices.Add tomotes and cook it for 5 to 6 mins.Take out the mixture from kadahi.
  4. Now take out the dal from water.In a pressure cooker put dal And add the mixture of onions and tamotoes.cook it for few second.Add milk and cream together.Add good amount of water.And one whistle it. After one whistle.Slow the flame cook for 4 to 5 minutes.Now add panner and cook it for more 2 to 3 mins.
  5. After all this process tak out the dal in a container garnish with coriander leaves,and cream.It is ready to eat.

My Tip:

I used home made panner.you can take malie instead of cream.And dont over cook the dal otherwise it will leave the texture.
