A very resourceful Sindhi recipe using left over rotis in a unique way

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 4-5 Left over Whole Wheat Chapatis
  2. Oil for frying
  3. To serve - Boiled yellow moong dal
  4. For tempering the Dal - 1 teaspoon whole jeera
  5. 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon amchoor
  7. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  8. 2 tablespoon oil
  9. Salt to taste


  1. Quarter the left over rotis and keep in fridge for 10 minutes.
  2. Heat oil on medium.
  3. Lower the flame and fry the rotis till golden brown.
  4. Let them stand and they will turn crisp on cooling.
  5. Best served with masala dal.
  6. For the dal- Take boiled moong dal
  7. Adjust water consistency and salt .
  8. Temper the jeera and pour over the Dal.
  9. Sprinkle all dry masalas and serve hot.
