A delicate basa fish dipped in a crusty coating, a perfect appetizer for people of every age.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basa fish - 100 gm
  2. Egg - 1
  3. Maida - 1 cup
  4. Garlic Powder - 1 tsp
  5. Black pepper powder - 2 tsp
  6. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt
  8. Oregano - 1 tsp
  9. Bread crumbs - 1 cup
  10. Ginger garlic paste - 1.5 tsp
  11. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  12. Refined oil


  1. Cut the Basa fish fillet into small fingers and marinate them with ginger garlic paste, lemon juice, little salt and half the black pepper powder for 1 hour.
  2. This will make the fish loose water, so strain them and keep aside.
  3. Now add the rest of the pepper powder, garlic powder, salt, red chilly powder to the maida.
  4. Coat the fish pieces with the maida mix above.
  5. Whisk an egg with a pinch of salt and also make another mix bread crumbs and oregano.
  6. Dip the coated fish fingers in the egg and coat them with bread crumbs.
  7. Deep fry them in hot oil and serve.
