ABOUT Soya Mutter Pulao with Brown Rice RECIPE

This is a very healthy recipe, can be favourite of the people of any age. It is good for diabetic as well as fitness-freak persons!

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Brown rice - 1 cup
  2. Soya chunks (nuggets) - 1/2 cup
  3. Green peas - 1/2 cup
  4. Chopped onions - 1 cup
  5. Chopped tomatoes - 1/2 cup
  6. Garlic – 3 cloves
  7. Whole red chillies - 3
  8. Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
  9. Cinnamon (dalchini) - 1 stick
  10. Cloves (laung) - 2
  11. Bayleaf (tejpatta) - 1
  12. Cardamom (elaichi) - 1
  13. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
  14. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  15. garam masala powder - 1/4 tsp
  16. Oil - 1 tsp
  17. Salt- to taste

Instructions

  1. Clean, wash and soak the rice for 10 minutes. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Ground the garlic and whole red chillies together and keep aside.
  3. Cook the soya nuggets with salt and 1 cup of water in a pressure for 2 whistles. Drain the water and keep aside.
  4. Heat the oil in a deep pan and add the cumin seeds, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf and cardamom.
  5. When the seeds crackle, add the onions and prepared chilli-garlic paste and saute till the onions turn golden brown.
  6. Add the rice and saute for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Now, add the turmeric powder, garam masala, coriander powder, tomatoes, green peas, cooked soya nuggets and salt and saute for another 2 minutes.
  8. Add 3 cups of hot water mix well and cover the pan. Cook in low flame till the rice well cooked.
  9. Serve hot.
