Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Milk 1 litre
  2. Almond 8 pieces
  3. Black pepper 3 tsp
  4. Fennel seed 2 tbs
  5. Melon seed 1 tbs
  6. Poppy seed 1tbs
  7. Saffron 5 to 6 threads
  8. Cardamom 3 to 4 pods
  9. Gulkand 1 to 2 tbs
  10. Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Soak fennel seed, black pepper, melon seeds, poppy seeds and cardamom in a cup of warm water for 30 minutes.
  2. Soak almond in another bowl of warm water for 30 minutes.
  3. Remove the almond skin.
  4. Grind all soaked ingredients, Gulkand and saffron in a mixture with 1/2 cup of milk and make a fine paste.
  5. Add the above paste in remaining milk. Chill it for 20 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Filter the milk with a strainer. Serve chilled with ice cubes.
