Ingredients to make Bhatura - Traditional Fried Punjabi Bread

  • all purpose flour/maida 1cup
  • curd 3 tbsp
  • Milk 5 tbsp
  • sugar 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Baking powder 1/2 tsp
  • water as needed

How to make Bhatura - Traditional Fried Punjabi Bread

  1. Take maida in a bowl add curd and milk mix well by rubbing flour between your palms
  2. Add salt sugar baking powder
  3. Add water slowly and make no so soft dough
  4. Rest it for 1hour in a warm place
  5. After 1hour put some oil and kneed this dough again
  6. Make small balls from the dough
  7. Roll a thick chapati
  8. And deep fry on high flame
  9. Serve this bhaturas with spicy chickpea curry
