Punjabi favourite yummy ,mouthwatering cholle bhature

Punjabi cholle bhature

Ingredients to make Punjabi cholle bhature

  • 2 cup cholle (soaked overnight)
  • 2 cup maida
  • 2 large tomato
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 2 green chilli.
  • salt to taste
  • 1 black cardamom
  • 1/2 inch cinamon
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp amchur powder
  • 2 tsp kasuri meethi
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp cholle masala powder (optional)
  • oil for frying
  • 5 tsp ghee

How to make Punjabi cholle bhature

  1. Pressure cook cholle with some salt and water for 15 min.
  2. Grind tomato onion green chilli togethor and make a paste.
  3. In a pan add ghee then whole spices then add ginger garlic paste then add tomato puree and cook till ghee seprates then add powdered spices then at last add amchur powder and kasuri meethi and mix then add boiled cholla with its water and cover it and cook for 10 min
  4. For bhature dough in a bowl add maida, baking soda and add 2 tsp oil then kneed a smooth dough by adding water and rest it for 30min.
  5. Make small rounds of dough and deep fry till golden brown.
  6. Serve cholle with hot bhature and with green chilli,pickle and lemon.

My Tip:

Rest dough of bhature in hot place for better fermentation.
