ABOUT Kalakand RECIPE

I love kalakand and especially when it is he made and fresh. So here is my version of this delicious indian dessert

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Paneer - 250 gm (Preferably homemade)
  2. Condensed milk - 1 tin (400 gm)
  3. Milk - 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar - 1/4 th cup
  5. Milk powder - 2 tbsp
  6. Elaichi powder - 1 tsp
  7. Chopped pistachios (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Grate the Paneer and mix it with milk powder and condensed milk, in a heavy bottomed kadhai.
  2. Heat this mixture and continuously keep stirring.
  3. Once the mixture gets a bit thick, add the milk and sugar.
  4. Keep stirring while the mixture cooks on a low flame.
  5. Add the elaichi powder and mix. Keep cooking the mixture until it leaves the sides of the kadhai and thick enough.
  6. Pour it into a greased tin or utensil, and garnish it with chopped pistachios.
  7. Let it cool and cut it into pieces .
