Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For masala - Dry red chili -7 to 8 (I used bedki chili )
  2. Coriander seeds - 1tsp
  3. Kashmiri chilli powder-2 tsp
  4. Cumin seeds -1 tsp
  5. Fennel seeds -1 tsp
  6. Black pepper corns-1 tsp
  7. Star anise -1
  8. Cloves-4
  9. Cinamon stick1
  10. Garlic cloves- 3 to 4
  11. Ginger-small piece
  12. Tamarind- 1 small piece
  13. Lemon juice-1tsp
  14. Water
  15. For gravy -
  16. Mutton-1/2kg
  17. Ginger garlic minced 1 tsp
  18. Onion finely chopped 2
  19. Ghee 5 tsp
  20. Coriander leaves finely chopped
  21. Curd 1tsp
  22. Salt for taste

Instructions

  1. Dry roast all ingredients listed under masala and blend it together into a smooth paste.
  2. Cook mutton with minced ginger ,garlic ,turmeric powder and salt.
  3. . Drain and keep the stock aside. Heat ghee in a wok, add onions and saute until it turns golden brown.
  4. Add ground paste and add little water.
  5. Add 1 tsp curd and mix well.
  6. Now add the stock and cook for 1 min.
  7. Add the cooked mutton pieces and cook until all the water dries up.
  8. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
