Instant Rava Dosa

Ingredients to make Instant Rava Dosa

  • Rava – 1 cup
  • Rice flour – 1 cup
  • maida – ½ cup
  • salt to taste
  • water as needed
  • oil - 2 tbsp
  • For Seasoning:
  • oil- 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds – 1 tsp
  • cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  • Whole pepper – 2 tsp
  • Green chilli – 3 chopped finely
  • curry leaves – 1 sprig
  • ginger – 1 tbsp finely chopped
  • onion –  1 medium size finely chopped
  • coriander Leaves – 2-3 tbsp finely chopped

How to make Instant Rava Dosa

  1. In a mixing bowl add maida, rice flour, rava and salt. Add water and make into a very thin batter. Set it aside for 15 mins.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard, cumin and pepper and sauté for a min.
  3. Add in ginger, curry leaves, green chilli, onion, mix well and saute for a min or two. Pour this to the batter. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
  4. Heat a non stick tawa and pour couple of ladleful of batter from a height so that it forms small holes in this. Pour it all over the tawa and form a dosa shape.
  5. Drizzle oil all over the edges and let it cook for about 2-3 mins. Flip over and cook for a min or two or till golden and crisp.
  6. Remove and Serve with any chutney of your choice.
