Four layers stuffed pull-apart Star bread

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3 cups Organic Whole Wheat Bread
  2. 1 1/2 cups of milk and water mixed in 50:50 ratio
  3. Salt to taste.
  4. 1 1/2 teaspoon active dry yeast
  5. 2 tablespoon pizza sauce
  6. 3 tablespoon Corainder-mint chutney, strained to remove excess moisture.
  7. 50 gm Amul processed cheese, grated
  8. 1 1/2 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  1. Take the milk and water mix and dissolve the sugar in it.
  2. Sprinkle yeast over it.
  3. Leave It undisturbed for 10 minutes. It will bloom.
  4. Take the flour in a bowl and add salt. Make a well in the centre.
  5. Add the frothed yeast mix in the centre and Mix it up.
  6. Start kneading. It will be very soft and sticky dough at first.
  7. Knead for 12-15 minutes.
  8. It will come together. Apply oil all over it.
  9. Cling wrap and keep undisturbed for 1-2 hours till it doubles up.
  10. Gently punch it once to remove excess air.
  11. Using a kitchen weighing scale, make 4 equal measure balls.
  12. Roll out 4 rotis.
  13. Place one roti on a greased baking plate or tray.
  14. Spread pizza sauce all over and place another roti over it.
  15. Spread chutney layer on it.
  16. Place the third roti on it and sprinkle grated cheese all over.
  17. Place the last one on top.
  18. Now, take a thali / plate with sharp edges and place it on top.
  19. Press lightly and cut off the excess dough with a sharp knife.This gives a smooth and clean look.
  20. Place a small glass or bowl in the centre to mark a circle.
  21. Using a sharp.knife make 12 equal parts of the bread , starting with marking it into half first, then quarter and so on.
  22. Take two parts in your hands by the outside edges and twist into 2 and half folds.
  23. Do so taking two parts each time and gently rolling them.
  24. Brush with oil or melted butter all over.
  25. Keep Undisturbed for about 30 minutes.
  26. Meanwhile after 20 minutes, preheat the oven to 200 degrees with both rods on, for 10 minutes.
  27. Bake the bread after second rise , for about 15 minutes.
  28. Serve hot.
