Jowar Dhani Chiwda

Ingredients to make Jowar Dhani Chiwda

  • jowar dhani-2 cups
  • Puffed rice or mamra-2 cups
  • Daliya-1/2 cup
  • Groundnuts-1/2 cup
  • Dried red chillies-3
  • curry leaves-15 to 20
  • mustard seeds-1tsp
  • salt
  • Chaat masala-1 tsp
  • Garam masala-1 tsp
  • turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  • Powdered sugar-1 tsp (optional)

How to make Jowar Dhani Chiwda

  1. Prepare dhani and mamra by dry roasting till they become crisp.
  2. Now take a big pan and add 2 tbsp oil in it.Roast groundnuts and daliya till they become brown.
  3. Remove from oil and keep in bowl.Now add mustard seeds,curry leaves and red chillies.
  4. As the seeds pop,add jowar dhani,mamra,salt,and rest of the dry spices and mix properly.
  5. Keep flame slow and keep mixing slowly .Add the fried groundnuts and daliya .Again mix properly and your chiwda is ready.
  6. Enjoy with hot coffee or masala chai. Fill in an airtight container on cooling.
