Jowar Dhani is popped jowar seeds just like popcorn from corn seeds.This chiwda is a healthy snack to munch on any time.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Jowar dhani-2 cups
  2. Puffed rice or mamra-2 cups
  3. Daliya-1/2 cup
  4. Groundnuts-1/2 cup
  5. Dried Red chillies-3
  6. Curry leaves-15 to 20
  7. Mustard seeds-1tsp
  8. Salt
  9. Chaat masala-1 tsp
  10. Garam masala-1 tsp
  11. Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  12. Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  13. Powdered sugar-1 tsp (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare dhani and mamra by dry roasting till they become crisp.
  2. Now take a big pan and add 2 tbsp oil in it.Roast groundnuts and daliya till they become brown.
  3. Remove from oil and keep in bowl.Now add mustard seeds,curry leaves and red chillies.
  4. As the seeds pop,add jowar dhani,mamra,salt,and rest of the dry spices and mix properly.
  5. Keep flame slow and keep mixing slowly .Add the fried groundnuts and daliya .Again mix properly and your chiwda is ready.
  6. Enjoy with hot coffee or masala chai. Fill in an airtight container on cooling.
