ABOUT Spiced Carrot Cake RECIPE

Carrot Cake with Gulab Jamun Mix and Tea Masala. It is a uniquely flavoured cake.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Gulab Jamun mix 3/4 cup
  2. Flour/ Wheat flour 3/4 cup
  3. Tea Masala 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Sugar 1/2 cup
  7. Salt 1 pinch
  8. Grated Carrot 1 cup
  9. Milk 1 cup
  10. Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  11. Olive/ Regular oil 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Grease a baking tray which is about 8 to 9 inches in diameter and two inches in depth.
  2. Combine the Gulab Jamun mix, wheat/flour, baking powder and soda, salt. Powder the sugar and tea Masala and add it to the bowl with the dry ingredients. Sieve the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the vinegar to the milk and allow it to split. Add oil to this mixture
  4. Gently fold the milk mixture into the dry ingredients. Add the grated carrot and mix well
  5. Transfer into the baking tray and into the oven and bake for about 30 mins depending on your oven
  6. Once done allow it to settle before de-molding. Cut and serve
