Ingredients to make Banoffee Smoothie

  • Small bananas (ripe) 6
  • Cold Milk 1 and 1/2 cups
  • sugar 2 tbsp (if required)
  • Whipped cream or Vanilla ice cream 2 scoops
  • Digestive biscuits 4
  • walnuts (chopped) 2 tbsp
  • cashew nuts (chopped) 2 tbsp
  • For the caramel:
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • butter 2 tbsp
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  • salt a pinch

How to make Banoffee Smoothie

  1. To prepare the caramel sauce:
  2. Take sugar in a pan and heat it. In another pan keep the fresh cream to warm a little.
  3. When the sides of the sugar in the pan begin to change the color to brown, stir slightly, so that the coloring is uniform.
  4. Once all the sugar melts and becomes golden brown in color, remove from flame and add in butter. Swirl the pan until butter melts.
  5. Next add in the cream and salt. Mix well.
  6. Now put the caramel back on flame and cook for another minute and switch the flame off. Allow to cool completely.
  7. Now blend together the bananas, milk and 2 tbsp of the prepared caramel sauce until it forms smooth and creamy. Check the sweetness. Add sugar only if required.
  8. Crumble the crackers and keep it aside.
  9. Now take two serving glasses.
  10. At the bottom, place a layer of the crumbled crackers.
  11. Add little caramel sauce on top of it.
  12. Next pour the cold banana smoothie over it, till half glass.
  13. Add another layer of the caramel sauce.
  14. Then add another layer of banana smoothie.
  15. Top it with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
  16. Add the crumbled crackers, chopped walnuts and cashew nuts.
  17. And finish it off by drizzling the caramel sauce.
  18. Delicious banana toffee smoothie is ready!!
