Wheat flour Bhatura

Ingredients to make Wheat flour Bhatura

  • wheat flour 1 cup
  • salt 1 tsp (to taste)
  • Ghee/oil/ butter 1 tbsp
  • Warm water 1/4 cup
  • For fermentation
  • all purpose flour 1/4 cup
  • Baking powder 1/4 tsp
  • curd 1/2Cup ( 100 ml)
  • sugar 2 tsp
  • oil for Deep frying
  • water 1 tbsp

How to make Wheat flour Bhatura

  1. We need to start fermentation one night in advance.
  2. In a bowl take all purpose flour, curd, baking powder / soda and sugar. Mix well. Keep covered at warm place.
  3. In the morning it will be fermented.
  4. Now take wheat flour, add salt. Add 1 tbsp ghee / butter and rub with your finger tips.
  5. Add the fermented mixture and 1/4 cup water and form a dough.
  6. Knead a soft dough. Make a big ball and cover with damp cloth. Keep aside covered for 2 hrs.
  7. After 2 hrs knead again with little oil or ghee. Now roll Bhatura of your rrqired size
  8. Heat oil in a pan and fry one by one.
  9. Take out on an absorbant paper.
  10. Enjoy with Chola.

My Tip:

You can make flour a day in advance and can keep in fridge.
