Ingredients to make Eggless Arabian Sesame cake

  • maida, 1 cup
  • sugar, 7 tablespoon
  • oil, 2 tablespoon
  • butter at room temperature, 2 tablespoon
  • curd, 4 tablespoon
  • Milk, 10 tablespoon
  • Baking Powder, 1 teaspoon
  • baking soda, 1/4 teaspoon
  • cornflour, 1 tablespoon
  • elaichi powder, 1/2 teaspoon
  • saffron, a few strands
  • almond flakes, 2 tablespoon
  • White sesame seeds, 1 tablespoon
  • Mixture of 2 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon honey
  • salt, a pinch

How to make Eggless Arabian Sesame cake

  1. Heat 2 tablespoon milk to lukewarm and add in the saffron.
  2. Mix up the curd, saffron-milk, butter, oil, sugar, remaining milk .
  3. Take the maida, cornflour, salt, baking powder, baking soda in a plate.
  4. Sieve these dry mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Bring together the dry and wet ingredients.
  6. Adjust consistency like idli batter by adding in some milk or water.
  7. Take a huge aluminum vessel and place it on the gas. Cover it.
  8. Preheat the vessel for 10 minutes on full flame.
  9. Pour the cake batter in a greased cake tin.
  10. Sprinkle the almond flakes and sesame all-over.
  11. Place any steel or iron ring in the vessel on which the cake tin will be placed.
  12. Keep for baking in the vessel.
  13. This is how the cake Bakes perfectly even without an oven.
  14. Check with toothpick in 22 to 25 minutes and remove if done.
  15. Brush with butter and honey mixture.
  16. Bake again for 5 minutes.
  17. Remove and de mould after 10 minutes.
  18. Let it cool on a wire rack.
  19. And done.

My Tip:

Pls use all ingredients at room temperature for making cakes to get best result.
