ABOUT Rava (sooji) Toast RECIPE

Rava/sooji toast is very quick and easy kids tiffin or breakfast recipe. Made with simple ingredients like sooji, onion, tomatoes. Serve rava toast with tomato ketchup.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 Bread slice
  2. Butter/oil for greasing and cooking.
  3. For topping
  4. 1 cup sooji(rava)
  5. 1small finely chopped onion
  6. 1small finely chopped capsicum
  7. 1 small finely chopped tomato
  8. 2 tbsp curd( dahi)
  9. 1/4 tsp chilli powder ( optional)
  10. Salt to tast
  11. Water as required


  1. Combine all ingredients sooji, chopped onion, tomato, capsicum, salt, and water as needed. Add oregano and dry garlic powder in a deep bowl.
  2. Mix it well
  3. Place all bread slice on a clean surface and spread some butter and portion of topping evenly over it.
  4. Heat a nonstick tawa/pan and grease it with little oil. Place 1-2 open toasts on it with the topping side upward and cook it on, till the turns downside golden brown in colour.
  5. Turn over and cook on the topping side till they turn golden brown in colour. Cut each toasts diagonally in to 2 equal pieces.
  6. Repeat step to cook more toast
  7. Serve immediately or cool completely and pack in a tiffin box.
