Sooji Idli, a quick and simple breakfast or tea-time snack that is low in fat, this is a perfect option for health conscious people. I have used low-fat curds to impart a nice taste and to make the idlis soft. For a wholesome breakfast of just 150 calories, serve these idlis with green chutney,

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2Cups Sooji or Rava
  2. 1Cup Curd
  3. 1 Fruit Salt or Eno
  4. Water as required
  5. Salt to taste
  6. 2tbsp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Combine the sooji, curds, coriander, salt and 1 cup of water in a bowl, mix well and keep aside for 10-15 minutes
  2. Add fruit salt to the batter and mix well.
  3. Grease the idli moulds with the remaining 1/4 tsp ghee and pour 2 tbsp of the batter into each idli mould.
  4. Steam in a steamer for 8 to 10 minutes. Serve hot.
