Ingredients to make Semiya biriyani

  • Semiya 1 cup
  • onion 2 medium
  • tomato 1 Large
  • green chilly 2 small
  • ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Beef 1/4 cup
  • chilly powder 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder 3/4 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam masala 1/4 tsp
  • salt
  • ghee 2tbsp
  • Oil/butter 2 tbsp
  • coriander leaves 1/4 cup

How to make Semiya biriyani

  1. Cook roasted vermicelli in boiled water for about 5 mins. Then keep it aside.
  2. Marinate beef with turmeric powder chilli powder coriander powder and salt in a pressure cooker until it's properly cooked. Grind it in a mixer for just a second. Keep it aside.
  3. Saute onion chilli ginger garlic paste tomato by adding salt and then add slightly grounded beef into it. Mix well. Add the powders mentioned in the ingredients and sprinkle coriander leaves.
  4. Mix semiya and masala in a non stick pan. Sprinkle fried onions cashew nuts and raisins. Cook it in low flame for about 10 mins.
  5. Semiya biriyani is ready. Serve it hot.

My Tip:

Don't cook vermicelli for a longer time. To avoid it add sufficient salt to the boiling water before adding vermicelli
