Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For the bhalle:
  2. Urad Dal - 1 cup
  3. Salt
  4. Water
  5. Refined oil
  6. For the sweet curd mix:
  7. Curd- 1 cup
  8. Salt
  9. sugar
  10. Other Ingredients:
  11. Green chutney (made with pudina, coriander leaves, garlic, tamarind, salt and sugar)
  12. Tamarind chutney
  13. Roasted jeera powder
  14. Chaat masala powder
  15. Sev
  16. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Soak the urad dal overnight and grind to a fine paste with water.
  2. Add required amount of salt and mix it.
  3. Heat ample amount of refined oil, drop little amounts of batter to form the bhalles.
  4. Deep fry them and drop them into water so that they remain soft. Let them dip for some time and squeeze them out. Keep aside.
  5. Now whisk the curd with salt and sugar, and very little water.
  6. To assemble, take the bhalles into a plate, pour curd, spoon little green chutney and then the tamarind chutney
  7. Sprinkle roasted jeera powder, chaat masala powder, coriander leaves and lots of sev on top. Serve
