ABOUT Dahi Bhalle Chaat... RECIPE

A yummy snack idea that is loved by us Indians. Chaat is something that is much popular with everyone of us. And what better way to have it than in this fusion form- that of dahi bhalle and different chutneys topped with sev,boondi and pomegranate seeds making it look gorgeous. Indulge in this sumptious chaat at any time of the day, you will be craving for more and more.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. FOR THE DAHI BHALLAS....
  2. Urad dal 2 cups soaked
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Green chillies chopped 2
  5. Ginger chopped 1 tbsp
  6. Coriander leaves chopped a fistful
  7. Curry leaves few
  8. Onion small finely chopped
  9. Thick curd 4 cups
  10. FOR THE CHAAT
  11. Sev as desired
  12. Boondi as desired
  13. Dates Chutney
  14. green chutney
  15. Pomegranate seeds
  16. Chat masala 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal in enough water for atleast two hours.
  2. Grind it into a thick batter by adding little water.
  3. Mix in all the ingredients listed under it's preparation.
  4. Deep fry these in hot oil on high flame in batches.
  5. Keep an eye over them since they are fried on high flame.
  6. Whisk the curd with some salt and little water.Do not make it watery.
  7. After frying, drop these bhalle in the curd.
  8. If desired add some chopped green chillies and coriander too.
  9. Now for the assembling, in a serving bowl, add the dahi bhallas and top it up with the chutneys
  10. Followed by sev and boondi
  11. Followed further by the chat masala and pomegranate seeds.
